SWINDON Town midfielder Saidou Khan has accepted a charge of violent conduct, the club has said.

On Tuesday, the Football Association reprimanded the 27-year-old following an "alleged incident" in the 87th minute of Town's 2-1 victory against Salford City at the weekend.

Although not seen by match officials at the time, the incident was caught on video, subsequently resulting in disciplinary action.

Swindon say the FA will confirm Khan's punishment - which is expected to include a five-game ban - in due course.

Khan was sent off for the first time this season in a 2-1 victory away at Grimsby Town in late September after picking up two yellow cards in quick succession shortly after half-time.

His most-recent on-field dismissal arrived late on in the 3-3 draw at home to Gillingham last month. The midfielder accrued his first yellow prior to half-time before receiving another 10 minutes frome the end.

Following Khan's third red card of the season, Swindon have now earned nine dismissals in all competitions this season, the most in any Robins campaign since the 2001-02 season (10).

But after the accumulation of a three-match ban for violent conduct against Newport County, forward Rushian Hepburn-Murphy is available for selection again this weekend as Swindon host Harrogate Town in League Two.
