SWINDON Town have confirmed midfielder Saidou Khan has been suspended for five matches by the Football Association.
Khan received a retrospective red card following an incident in the 87th minute of Town's 2-1 victory over Salford City at the Peninsula Stadium last weekend.
The 27-year-old was involved in an altercation with an opposition player that was not seen by the match officials at the time but caught on camera after the game.
Both Khan and his club accepted the charge of violent conduct, and the Gambian will now serve a lengthy ban due to picking up his third dismissal of the season.
The midfielder's suspension will begin with immediate effect, and that has therefore ruled him out of this weekend’s home clash with Harrogate Town.
Khan could return for Swindon's League Two clash at home to Stockport County on Saturday, March 25.
