ADVER Sport assesses the performances of the Swindon Town players following the Robins’ 1-0 victory over Bradford City at the County Ground on Tuesday night.

Sol Brynn: 7

The stopper didn’t actually have a great deal to do with his back line preventing many clear-cut chances. A well-deserved 13th clean sheet of the season too.

Remeao Hutton: 8

Hutton was back to somewhere near his best with a few marauding runs, relentless energy, and a wonderful assist for Williams’ goal. 10 assists for the season is some achievement from full-back.

Tom Brewitt: 8

Brewitt was aggressive but composed as he worked in tandem with Clayton to keep Andy Cook quiet. For me, that was Brewitt’s best game – certainly since his debut.

Tom Clayton: 8

The younger of the two Toms was another to have rediscovered some of his 2022 form with a largely faultless display. Four clearances, four clearances, and two key blocked shots made it a top night’s work for Clayton.

Frazer Blake-Tracy: 8

For someone who’s performed so admirably at centre-back for a while, it’s easy to forget what FBT can offer going forward too. He bombed on a fair few times and often provided dangerous crosses. A well-timed and important block was in there too.

Saidou Khan: 7

Khan did what Khan does. He’s entertaining to watch, although sometimes he leaves you fretting a little when dribbling out from the back. But particularly in the second half, the Gambian was a driving force in midfield. He was unlucky not to have scored too – but for Lewis’ fine save before the break. Subbed.

Jonny Williams: 8

Williams was bright and full of energy, it seemed, as he raced around the pitch like a blue-ended fly. He seemed to unsettle the Bantams’ midfield, as a result. But the endeavour he showed to reach Hutton’s cross was admirable, and as a result, Williams reached double figures for goals for the first time in a season.

Dylan Kadji: 4

The Bristol City loanee was handed a rare start, but he failed to take his opportunity with a pretty poor showing overall. He lost possession too many times and did nothing to help Town’s cause when he did have the ball. Subbed.

Jacob Wakeling: 7

Wakeling was not involved an awful lot, but he was positive and efficient when he took control of the ball. Previously, he has been brushed off the ball too easily, but that happened far less against Bradford.

Rushian Hepburn-Murphy: 7

It was a similar story with Hepburn-Murphy as it was with Wakeling. Involved less than usual, Hepburn-Murphy continued to try and make something happen. He wasn’t always successful, but he gave Ridehalgh a tough night. Subbed.

Luke Jephcott: 7

The striker felt he should have been on the scoresheet, but credit has to go to Lewis for an excellent save in the second half. Jephcott’s hold-up play was good, he won a handful of aerial battles, and there were a few shots at goal in there too. Not a bad night, even if the player himself wasn’t so sure. Subbed.

SUBSTITUTES

Jake Cain: 6

Although he only completed half of his passes, the young midfielder was strangely effective in the air – winning four aerial duels. He seemed confident in what he was being asked to do as well. A decent showing.
