SWINDON Town Official Supporters Club looks back at the group’s senior mascot initiative as well as previewing their End of Season Presentation and an upcoming Fans Forum.

That felt good, didn’t it? Our first win in 10 games sealed with a clinical header from Jonny Williams following Remeao Hutton’s 10th assist of the season.

Bradford were a stern test, so to keep another clean sheet against the league’s leading goal scorer, Andy Cook, is another tick in the box on an excellent performance.

You could start to see signs of what Jody Morris is coaching into the players, and Ed Brand spoke well to the media after the match. Let’s hope this is the catalyst we’ve been waiting for!

The recent match against Mansfield Town was an exciting day for 11 ardent Swindon Town fans who were senior mascots for the game. The OSC purchased 11 senior mascot packages, and these were offered to members to nominate a super fan aged 60 or over.

As you can see from the photo (where the number on the back of the shirt is the number of years the mascots have supported Swindon Town) there’s a combined total of 651 years supporting the club – amazing!

Tickets are now on sale for the End of Season Presentation Dinner. This will be held on Wednesday, May 3 in the Legends Lounge. These are always fantastic evenings and a great opportunity for fans to meet the players and management team at the club. You can buy tickets from our website.

At the presentation dinner, several awards will be presented – including the Swindon Advertiser’s Swindon Town Player of the Season award. I guess it’s a reflection of a poor season when the list of nominees doesn’t roll off the tongue – sadly different to this time last year when debates raged about Harry McKirdy or Louis Reed should get everyone’s vote!

Before the recent match with Barrow, we combined forces with Swindon Cricket Club for the Annual STFC Fans Barbecue. A raffle was held and £200 was raised for Darby Rimmer MND – which is our charity of the year.

One thing that we’ve been pushing the club for is another Fans Forum. The last event was held back in September and the club have agreed to hold another Fans Forum at the end of the season in May – date to be confirmed.

We’re looking for a similar format with the chairman, CEO, technical director, and head coach all in attendance. This will be a great opportunity for fans to ask their questions. Watch this space for tickets!

Safe travels for anyone off to Wimbledon on Saturday. Come on you Reds!
