We are at the business end of the season now, with just a trip to Crewe Alexandra on Saturday and a home fixture against Crawley Town to go.

League Two football awaits us next season once more, and what will most likely be a hugely busy summer for STFC on and off the field. It sounds like planning for next season is already underway, but the proof will be in what the next couple of weeks and months bring.

With Jody Morris having a full summer transfer window and pre-season to bring his vision to life, expectations will be high, and scrutiny tight. Rob Angus used his programme notes against Barrow to confirm the club will have a competitive budget and squad next year capable of automatic promotion - hopefully, that goes some way to persuading the loyal fans to renew their season tickets for the 2023-24 campaign.

Fans will have seen the recent publication of the Advisory Board notes. They have been redeveloped this month, based on a wider range of feedback from Trust members and the wider fanbase. The enhancements to the design and layout have gone down well, and hope the continued transparency from the AB goes some way to give fans more understanding of what is taking place off the field.

The County Ground Joint Venture group will be meeting up for the first time next month, beginning the process of putting together a longer-term business plan for the stadium’s ownership and development. Last month, TrustSTFC announced changes to our membership, introducing our new Voting Share package that ensures fans have the opportunity to have their say in actions with the County Ground.

Last weekend, we circulated a survey to voting shareholders for their thoughts and opinions on where work should focus initially with The County Ground. If you received it, please take five minutes out of your day to complete it, so that we can bring this to conversations with the rest of the joint venture board.

The other work streams of our board members continue to evolve. We’ve also seen a lot of developments with our environment and sustainability works, and we’ll continue to engage with Michael Doughty, the club, the OSC and Foundation next season. A number of developments to the TrustSTFC website will be taking place over the coming weeks, to enhance our offering to members. And there is continued progress with the STFC Museum project.

If you have any feedback for the Trust or any member wishes to have something raise with the Advisory Board in May, please do get in touch with us via email.

For those making the trip up to Crewe on Saturday, safe travels and finger’s crossed for the win! COYR!
