ADVER Sport assesses the performances of the Swindon Town players following the club’s 2-1 defeat away at Crewe Alexandra in League Two.

Sol Brynn: 5

Brynn has been excellent all season, but he made a costly mistake for Crewe’s equaliser. He was absolutely powerless to prevent the winner, though.

Remeao Hutton: 5

Hutton didn’t get forward an awful lot, but when he did, the cross rarely found a white shirt. He played with an aggressive edge, but that didn’t seem to suit him.

Harrison Minturn: 6

Minturn won a fair few aerial battles and limited Courtney Baker-Richardson to very little. Worked well with Clayton to intercept and cut out most Crewe attacks prior to the final 10 minutes. Booked.

Tom Clayton: 6

Clayton just kept everything really simple on an awful pitch. He made the most clearances in Town’s defensive ranks too.

Marcel Lavinier: 5

Lavinier, like Hutton, struggled to make much of an impact going forward. He also struggled to keep hold of Dan Agyei at times, not that the former Oxford man punished Town after.

Jake Cain: 6

Cain was much improved from Tuesday night, simply by taking fewer touches and continuing to recycle the ball. He was really unlucky with a superb free-kick in the first half too. Subbed.

George McEachran: 6

McEachran regularly picked up pockets of space in between the Crewe midfield and defence, but he wasn’t really able to exploit that aside from a decent shot in the opening minute. Subbed.

Saidou Khan: 6

Town’s captain was dynamic enough with the ball at his feet and looked one of few who wanted to put an appropriate level of hard work in.

Rushian Hepburn-Murphy: 6

The clear highlight of Hepburn-Murphy’s day was his well-taken goal, because he really struggled to produce anything positive aside from that. Too many loose touches, poor passes, or dribbles where he ended up being tackled. Subbed.

Jacob Wakeling: 5

Wakeling put a few decent crosses into the box, but he was really quiet and not involved in proceedings an awful lot.

Luke Jephcott: 5

He won a couple of headers but didn’t really make the most of a fragile Alex defence. He also failed to convert a really good chance which would have sealed the points after half-time. Subbed.

SUBSTITUTES

Tyrese Shade: 5

He held onto the ball for too long too many times. His solo shot on target was straight at a visibly-shaky Tom Booth.

Ronan Darcy: 5

Darcy made no real impact off the bench in a game where space was certainly not a premium.

Dylan Kadji: N/A
