WE can’t remember how many times we’ve used the term “rollercoaster” to describe the feelings experienced by Swindon Town supporters, but here we go again!
First the departure of Jody Morris and Ed Brand is announced – shortly followed by Sandro Di Michele leaving SN1. We’re not sure anyone saw that coming – despite the lack of consistent form on the pitch. Let’s see who Clem Morfuni appoints, and hopefully it’s a swift appointment.
On Wednesday, we held the annual End of Season Awards Dinner in the Legends Lounge. This was hosted by our very own Vic Morgan and was attended by all the players and backroom staff from the club.
While this season has fallen below everyone’s expectations, it is still important to recognise the hard work that goes into the club behind the scenes and on the pitch.
It was a great event, and it was brilliant to present Frazer Blake-Tracey with The Roger Bunce STFC Player of the Season award. Frazer scooped this with almost 50 per cent of all OSC member votes, and it was fully deserved.
We’ve been working on this one for a little while, but we’re pleased to now be able to share that we have agreed a date with the club for the second Fans Forum of the season. Here you’ll have the chance to put your questions to a management panel to be confirmed.
The Fans Forum will be held on Wednesday, May 17 in the Legends Lounge at SN1. It’s free to attend, but you will need a ticket to be permitted entry. Look out on socials for how to get yourself a ticket to the event.
And for those fans living slightly further afield, fear not! The Fans Forum will be co-hosted by the OSC and The Sir Tom Broadbent Lounge, so if you can’t join us in person, you can listen in live and ask your questions by joining the @T_STBL Twitter space.
Another initiative the OSC is supporting is the ‘Bring The Noise’ campaign led by Trust STFC. Our members will have seen a survey asking them for feedback on an idea put forward for singing sections at the ground. Please take the time to complete the short survey – your input is much appreciated.
Finally - don’t forget to buy your Matchday Draw ticket at the Crawley match. As is traditional for the last game of the season, the top cash prize is £1,000! Second prize is a season ticket for 2023-24 season, and the third prize is a home shirt for the 2023-24 season. You can buy a ticket from any of the ticket sellers around the ground before kick-off – or you can buy from the OSC online store – in groups of five tickets.
Enjoy the final game – COYR!
