A former Swindon Town player chose to wear an odd outfit while attending his new club’s end-of-season awards ceremony.
Harry McKirdy rocked up to Hibernian’s Player of the Year awards dressed in an oversized woolly vest equipped with a cap, whilst most of his teammates were wearing suits.
The 26-year-old spent just the one full season at the County Ground following a summer move from Port Vale in 2021.
After scoring an impressive 26 goals in 49 games, the attacker was named in the EFL League Two Team of the Season and as Swindon Town's Player of the Season.
Things turned sour though as McKirdy was sent off in the second game of this campaign, reportedly throwing a protein shake onto the referee’s suit following the decision.
This led to The Football Association handing him a three-match suspension and £1,500 fine after he admitted to "aggressive and improper" behaviour.
The attacker then decided to join Scottish Premiership club Hibernian in September 2022 on a three year deal.
McKirdy has had a tough first season in Scotland, failing to score a single goal in his 23 appearances this campaign.
The last player to go that long without a goal for the Scottish side was Alan O’Brien, who also turned out for Swindon.
