Swindon Town forward Tomi Adeloye has joined Scottish Championship side Partick Thistle on a season-long loan.
The 27-year-old has struggled to make an impact in Wiltshire last season, making ten appearances and scoring just once.
He joined the club back in July 2022 under former manager Scott Lindsey, but when Jody Morris took over midway through the season, the former Charlton and Millwall youth prospect rapidly fell out of favour.
Adeloye had been featuring in Town’s pre-season friendlies, but it had been revealed by Swindon boss Michael Flynn that there were certain members of his squad that were ‘free to leave’, and it seems the London-born forward was one of them.

The robust striker will be hoping to rekindle his form in Scotland similar to his time at Ayr United, where he scored 14 goals in 38 games – his most prolific season to date.
Adeloye could feature for his new club as soon as this weekend, as they face Spartans FC in a Scottish League Cup group stage game.
Thistle manager Kris Doolan said: “I think Tomi will be a great addition to our frontline. He showed during his time at Ayr that when he gets consistent gametime, he’s capable of finding the back of the net regularly.

“That being said, he’ll have to work really hard to get into our team because we have a lot of firepower up front but hopefully that competition drives everyone on. I know myself how it feels when you’re one of a few striking options – you know you have to perform.”
“Tomi is the kind of striker that will make centre-halves sweat. He’s strong, he’s clever and he can link up with the players around him brilliantly so I’m excited to work with him.”
Town will undoubtedly be after a replacement for the departed striker with Flynn’s squad still in need of strengthening, and their season opener just nine days away.
