Udoka Godwin-Malife said that he does not have immediate plans for a Christmas single after delighting crowds with his singing in Old Town.

The Town defender was one of a number of special guests at the Old Town Christmas festival and lights switch-on last Sunday.

After going viral earlier in the season with his rendition of John Legend’s ‘All of Me’ as his initiation song prior to Swindon’s postponed season opener against Colchester United, eventually ending up on the Instagram story of Legend himself, Godwin-Malife was asked to sing to the crowds.

Singing the song that gained him notoriety in the first place, the 23-year-old wowed the crowd once again with his voice on the stage.

Speaking prior to Town’s crazy 4-3 win over Accrington Stanley, Godwin-Malife said while he had greatly enjoyed the experience of performing to the crowd for the first time, he had no immediate plans to display his other wonderful talent.

He said: “It was a really good experience for me, and my family and I really enjoyed getting to do it.

“I am not really [that used to it], it is the first time I have ever done that, but it was a good experience and something that I wouldn’t turn down.

“I couldn’t imagine doing that in front of the Swindon fans if we had lost, but it was nice to do it off the back of a win and see so many people smiling.

“Christmas single? No. I am sure that maybe one day I will do one, but right now my focus is on getting points on the board and doing well for Swindon Town first and foremost.

“[When asked about doing a duet with kit man Jonah Issacs for the festive season] We will have to ask Jonah and see what we can do.”
