Swindon Supermarine chairman Jez Webb has announced the club have appointed their first-ever CEO.

Martin Palmer has joined Supermarine as their CEO, to fulfil a number of duties at all levels of the club.

In this new role, Palmer will be tasked with offering support to the playing staff as well as head coach Stuart Fleetwood when needed, mapping out and implementing a new club development plan, increasing commercial revenues, better utilising the facilities at the Webbswood Stadium,  increasing the fan base, and looking at ways to better the overall fan experience.

Palmer has spent the last six years as the Head of Marketing at Imagine Cruising and had ten years of experience in the travel and tourism industry prior to that, in addition to spending 19 years in various roles at BP and Castrol.

He will be part of the management structure, which includes Webb as chairman, Keith Yeomans as vice chairman, Alan Fletcher as director & Supermarine Land Limited Secretary, and Steve Moore as director and president.

On the field, head coach Stuart Fleetwood has helped Supermarine to recover from a difficult start to the season in the Southern League Premier South and move up the table towards safety.
