Dawson Devoy thinks that Swindon Town have shown they can deal with the more physical sides with their back-to-back wins.
Swindon won two games on the trot for the first time since November as they defeated AFC Wimbledon 3-2 courtesy of a second-half turnaround sparked by the Irishman.
Following on from victory at Barrow AFC last weekend, Swindon have successfully seen off two of League Two's more physical and direct sides after questions about their ability to hold up against that type of team all season.
Devoy said: "I think that a lot of League Two games can be frantic and end-to-end and I think that as a team we showed great character towards the end of the game with throwing bodies on the line.
"You have to do that to get results and we did that today and deserved the three points.
"It is a physical league and we showed that we can do the physical sides of the game, Wimbledon and Barrow are both up the other end of the table and we showed that we can fight with those boys.
"Any type of win is nice, but when you are behind and fight back then it is particularly nice to win and get the three points."
Coming off the bench at the break, Devoy put in the cross that led to Aaron Drinan's equaliser before netting twice himself to turn the tides and see Swindon win after going behind for the first time since August.
Devoy said that he was very pleased that he has started to add production to his game since joining Swindon.
He said: "It is my first brace in professional football, so it was nice to come on and get two goals but more importantly the three points.
"The first one was coming in and I have just tried to get a touch on it, so luckily it went in.
"The second one was a bit of luck as well with the deflection over the 'keeper's head, but it doesn't matter how they go in, as long as you score.
"When I first came in, I was playing a bit higher up the pitch and injuries meant that I played a bit deeper, but I am always looking to score.
"As a midfielder, I want to get goals and assists, so that is definitely something that I am looking to add to my game."
