Swindon Town are in the hunt alongside fellow League Two clubs to sign Boston United defender Jai Rowe, according to reports.
Pete O’Rourke, transfer correspondent for Football Insider, has said that Town are among a trio of clubs looking to land the 22-year-old with his contract set to expire at the end of this season.
Following a fine campaign at National League North level in which Rowe won the Player of the Year and Supporters Association Player of the Year as The Pilgrims won promotion to the National League under former Swindon man Ian Culverhouse, the defender has been attracting interest from clubs higher up the pyramid.
Boston have offered Rowe a new contract, as announced in their retained list, but he is yet to commit to the Lincolnshire outfit and would become available in July.
League Two playoff semi-finalists Doncaster Rovers and Newport County are the other sides thought to be in contention for the defender, alongside Town.
Rowe has already made 64 appearances at League Two level for Scunthorpe United and made his professional debut against Swindon in 2020 and has since had spells with Aldershot Town and Boston after departing Glanford Park in 2023.
