Saidou Khan has handed in a transfer request at Swindon Town and the club do not plan to stand in his way.
Khan was entering his third season at the Nigel Eady County Ground, having joined under Scott Lindsey in the summer of 2022, but has not featured in either game this season, with Mark Kennedy saying that he was ill.
The midfielder has made 66 appearances in League Two across his two seasons but has been periodically linked with a move away, with Wrexham being one of the known suitors.
The new season starts tonight! Now is the perfect opportunity to enjoy all the coverage from the campaign, with our exclusive deal for Town fans!

Following the expiry of his initial two-year contract at the end of last season, Town exercised their option to extend him for a further year this summer.
The Adver has been aware of interest from Tranmere Rovers earlier in the window but as was reported by The Moonraker on Wednesday, no acceptable, formal offer has been made for Khan so far this summer.
However, ahead of Swindon playing their first home game of the season against Walsall this weekend, Kennedy revealed that the player has asked to leave the club before the end of the window.
He said: “Sads is pretty simple, we have spoken a few times to him recently as he has been ill, so he has had quite a fractured pre-season with illness.
“Sads has also indicated that he sees his future elsewhere and I think we have to respect that.
“We have to be protective of ourselves and the club but we want to be respectful of Saidou’s wishes and we are happy to accommodate him on that.
“Nobody wants unhappy players, and I am not saying that Saidou is unhappy, but if a player wants to leave then I think it is detrimental to keep an unhappy player.
“Sads has been the consummate professional, conducted himself brilliantly, he is popular within the dressing room, he is the first person to come and see us in the morning, and the last one out.
“He is doing everything he can to make sure wherever he goes he is ready to go and whoever inherits Sads has got a fit player on their hands.
“But as I said, he sees his future elsewhere and I am happy with that and I am respectful of that.
“Sometimes you have a situation where we will do all we can to make him stay, for multiple reasons, it may be asset value, but with Sads we were happy to accommodate him.”
