Mark Kennedy has not ruled out the possibility of further departures from Swindon Town before the end of the transfer window.

There is one week remaining in the summer transfer window and Swindon will be hoping for a busy week as they look to bring in reinforcements in the shape of another goalkeeper, a creative midfield player, and a striker to bolster the squad.

Town are also hoping for Saidou Khan to move on after he made it clear that he saw his future away from the Nigel Eady County Ground, although he has turned down potential new destinations.

Despite having a small squad at present, Kennedy said that it was possible that players could move on if it would help Swindon to bring in further quality.

He said: “Do I value everybody that we have got in the group now? Yes, 100 per cent.

“But if, to use Man City as an example, if Man City could get a star player out for somebody better then they would do it or if a player wants to leave then you have to allow it as nobody wants unhappy players.

“If I could change any player for a better player and for the right value of money then I would 100 per cent do that, it is about maximising the club.

“I also don’t know everything that is going on, I believe that we have good asset value within the club and I know that we have players that other clubs are looking at, so it might be something that is out of my hands.

“Every decision that is made has to be made for the best interests of the club and to help the club improve going forward.

“The bottom line is that I value everybody who is here and everybody who is here is here on merit but what happens in between that I can’t really answer.”

As for incomings, Kennedy said that with lots of things ongoing, he is not in the best position to speak about what could happen in the coming days.

He said: “We have got a meeting right this minute [on recruitment], so post that meeting we should have more information.

“I am hopeful every day [of getting players in] but everything that I am discussing is subjective but honestly I don’t have anything to tell you. I will hopefully know more when I come out of our meeting.”
