Swindon Town fans have had their say on what the club need to get done in the transfer market before the window slams shut next Friday.
It has been yet another busy summer at the Nigel Eady County Ground, with 12 players arriving to help Mark Kennedy reshape a squad that has lost 13 of the 16 players who played the most minutes for them during their worst-ever League Two campaign last year.
However, there is a lot more work to be done in the final week of the transfer window and The Adver asked Swindon fans on social media about what they wanted to get done.
The majority of respondents on X and Facebook said that four signings would be necessary in the next seven days, a few did suggest an even more frantic trolley dash with six or seven signings needed before September, and there were four shouts for an entirely new squad.
In terms of what areas of the squad require improvement, the fans appear to be aligned with the club with what would type of player should be sought out in the coming days.
There were 18 calls for an attacking midfield player to augment the current group of Joel Cotterill, Ollie Clarke, Nnamdi Ofoborh, Jake Cain, Dylan Mitchell, and Jaxon Brown, with many suggesting that more than one player in this area would be required.
Swindon have had problems with creativity so far this season, with the strikers having cut lonely figures at times, with Paul Glatzel and Aaron Drinan yet to register a shot in anger in league play so far, and clearly there needs to be an injection of creativity if Town are to start banging goals in.
13 people also said that at least one striker needs to come through the door to add further competition in that area after Town have scored just one goal in their opening two League Two matches.
Mark Kennedy has said that Kabongo Tshimanga is one of a number of strikers that Town covet and are looking to get a deal done in this area before Town play host to Notts County.
There were also nine suggestions for another goalkeeper, with a general split over whether that would be a replacement for or backup to Jack Bycroft.
Other areas that some fans thought needed addressing were another more defensively-minded midfielder, more quality in wide areas, and even one fan saying another centre-back.
