Mark Kennedy said that Swindon Town had the moments to get more but didn't make the most of them during their 0-0 draw at Crewe Alexandra.

Swindon picked up another point on the road as they played out a goalless draw against a Crewe Alexandra side who have been struggling on their own patch of late.

With both teams looking low on confidence, it was a match low on quality and with set pieces the most dangerous-looking situations at both ends and despite good chances for Ollie Clarke and Paul Glatzel, the spoils were shared.

Kennedy said that there were positives in the game for Swindon but ultimately they didn't do enough to walk away being disappointed with a point.

He said: "It is a point away from home and a clean sheet, which is a positive on the whole especially after last week.

"I felt that we had the chances to win the game but it is not like we popped them off the park, I don't think anyone will come out of it furious not to have won the game.

"We had ten corners today and multiple final third actions and on another day it could have been different and we could have scored a couple of goals.

"From that point of view there are lots of positives but I would like us to be more creative and unlock more doors in the final third.

"[Were there enough 'get you out of your seat moments'?] Yes and no. Harry [Smith] has had a really good goal disallowed and Will [Wright] and Ros[aire Longelo] are inches away from tapping one in.

"I feel that we had real nearly moments and the difference is that if one of them goes in then you are coming away really excited.

"Getting that first goal is absolutely vital and if we just had that little bit of luck it could have been a lot more positive but I have to be clear that a point was fair."

Kennedy made a switch in midfield as Jake Cain came in for Nnamdi Ofoborh following the result last week and he explained why he made the change.

He said: "There were a couple of things, I said to the guys in the team meeting at the hotel that if anyone was sat there when we named the team thinking they were a shoo-in to play then they are absolutely deluded after last week.

"Jake Cain tactically is a very good player and although we didn't evidence it on the ball, he caused Crewe a lot of problems with his positioning.

"I think that possession would have been a hair's width either way but what I didn't like about us today was for 20 minutes we were very effective in what League Two looks like and we have earned the right to play and then we didn't play.

"We have got to be more aggressive in our mindset with trying to play because I feel we have the quality to do it."
