A pickleball club which was launched just over a year ago enjoyed success at this year's English Open.
Swindon Pickleball Club was set up by Swindon native Bryan Saunders, who has multiple US Pickleball Open medals.
The club was represented by 12 members, some of whom came away with medals, at the national event in Telford last month as 2,000 others also took part.
The club said it is particularly proud of this achievement given many of its players had no prior pickleball experience when they joined the club.
The sport combines elements of tennis, badminton and table tennis and has seen its popularity grow in recent times.
It can be played both indoors and outdoors on a badminton-sized court and a slightly modified tennis net.
Two or four players use solid paddles made of wood or composite materials to hit a perforated polymer ball over a net.
Mr Saunders has worked to see the sport introduced at more than 20 secondary schools as he looks to grow the sport in Swindon.
It follows on from a taster session at his former school at the end of the summer term.
The English Open, which was the largest pickleball tournament outside of North America, was held from August 8-14.
