Nnamdi Ofoborh has been made available for loan from Swindon Town in an attempt to get him more regular football.
Despite starting all of the first four games of Swindon’s season across all competitions, Ofoborh was dropped to the bench for the game against Crewe Alexandra and has subsequently been out of the matchday 18 against Notts County and Exeter City.

When asked about his exclusions, Mark Kennedy said that he felt Ofoborh needed more regular football which he was unlikely to receive at Swindon at present and he has been given permission to seek a temporary move away from the Nigel Eady County Ground.
He said: “A lot of it is around physicality. Nnamdi hasn’t played a lot of football for his age and sadly had a real health scare that we are all aware of.
“Where my concern for Nnamdi comes from is because we have got people like Joel [Cotterill], Gav Kilkenny, Ollie [Clarke], Danny [Butterworth] has come in, and Jake Cain – we have got a lot of real high-level midfielders.
“If you look at the most games he has played in a season, it is a really low number and he needs to rack up a minimum of 30 starts in a season.
“From a physical point of view, it is really important that he has that and also it is really hard to do in our club because of the quality of midfielders and we also have good volume.”
Despite the summer transfer window being closed, clubs in the National League and below are still allowed to sign and loan players.
Kennedy added that the midfielder was more than welcome to continue to fight for his place in the squad but he advised heading out on loan to get the necessary game time.
He said: “Nnamdi is a valued member of the squad but if Nnamdi felt that the best course of action to get minutes was to go somewhere else then we would facilitate and support him in that.
“If Nnamdi says ‘I want to stay here and really fight for my place’ then we would have him in open arms because he is a very good player.
“If somebody is injured then he is straight in, he started multiple games for us already.
“But I think going forward, if I was to be stern in my thoughts then I would look at the options of where he is going to get the most football.”
