Mike Grella is a 37-year-old former Leeds United and Swindon Town forward who also played at New York Red Bulls.

He is far from remembered fondly during his time with the Town.

CBS Sports coverage of the UEFA Champions League is infamous for creating iconic moments with its panel of Kate Scott (formerly Abdo), Thierry Henry, Jamie Carragher and Micah Richards getting themselves into all sorts of situations.

Last night, it happened again.

It got heated between Arsenal legend, Thierry Henry, and Mike Grella ahead of a Champions League game last night.

During a discussion of American players, Grella quipped: "I know you played in MLS, I replaced you, remember?"

The studio was sent into meltdown as Carragher and Richards were left in disbelief, Scott quietly put her hands to her face and Henry shouted back multiple times: "Don't go there."

Carragher heckled: "Mike, I think that's the end of your CBS career."

Well, see for yourself.

Grella's controversial time at Swindon Town

Grella made his debut for the Town in a 4-1 defeat at Southampton.

It proved to be the only game he would play under the man who signed him - Danny Wilson -who tendered his resignation after the game.

The following weekend, new boss Paul Hart moved Grella into a wider position and he went on to make a total of six starts for Swindon - netting his only goal in a 1-1 draw against fellow relegation strugglers Dagenham and Redbridge in March.

'Good riddance to bad rubbish'

At the end of the month though, Hart dropped the American to the bench. Two weeks later, when Grella was again going to be named on the bench for the trip to Brentford - he declared he wanted to return to Leeds - stating that he came to Swindon for first-team football and that he wasn't getting games under the new management.

The decision seemed a strange one, as the loan could not be cancelled - and technically speaking he remained a Town player for the rest of the campaign.

Both Hart and Leeds boss Simon Grayson blasted Grella for his decision - Grayson stating that he may 'suffer the consequences', Hart said that it was 'good riddance to bad rubbish', and that he would 'fight tooth and nail' to not pay a penny of his wages.
