Mark Kennedy said that Swindon Town did have the chances to claim maximum points during their 0-0 draw with Harrogate Town.

Swindon and Harrogate played out a frustrating draw in which there was less than minimal excitement at both ends of the field as neither side looked like breaking the deadlock.

After ten games, Swindon have just eight points and are sat fourth from bottom of the EFL, it is just the sixth time since the inception of the fourth tier they have failed to get less than nine points.

Kennedy said that Town did create the clear-cut chances required to win the match and limited the visitors to very little.

He said: "It depends on how you look at the game, if I look at their chances, I don't remember them having any chances at all and I don't remember Dan [Barden] having to make a save.

"I don't think we worked their 'keeper enough but when you look at Joel's [McGregor] with his header in the first half and I am not quite sure what happened there, I don't know if he tried too hard to get his head on it but that is a golden opportunity.

"Will [Wright] had the header cleared off the line, [George] Coxy if he hit the target at the death - there are three golden chances right there.

"I look at Joel Cotterill's volley in the first half, it was flying in and unbelievably it hits [Paul] Glatzel's head from about four yards out.

"If I look at one-v-ones, no we didn't [do enough to win the game] but if I look at clear-cut opportunities where you think someone has to score, I think that we definitely did enough."

Town had the bulk of possession and shots during the game as the away side looked to bounce back from a 5-1 defeat in mid-week.

Kennedy added that he felt Harrogate had been successful in their mission to slow the game down and make it difficult for Swindon.

He said: "But it was a tough day all around, credit to Simon [Weaver] and his team, they made it a really ugly and horrible game and they took an eternity to take a throw-in, free-kick, or goal kick.

"They parked the bus, sat behind the ball, and I think they had 36 per cent possession.

"Football is about fine margins and they got clapped off and we got booed off and I get it.

"I thought it was a difficult day with how they set up and it was an incredibly difficult surface to play on as the pitch was dry as a bone.

"But tactically Simon did a brilliant job today, it is very difficult to break a team down like that even if you are Real Madrid or Manchester City - I felt if we got an early goal then it changes the dynamic.

"I was slightly disappointed with their game plan but I get it after losing 5-1, but they have made absolutely no attempt to lay a glove on us."
