Swindon town were beaten by Salford 2-1 on Tuesday evening, the defeat leaves the Robins only one place above the relegation zone.

Salford opened the scoring inside 3 minutes through left winger Kelly N'Mai before Harry Smith pulled one back for Swindon early in the second half, However, it was Salford who got the winner through Jon Taylor to seal a 2-1 victory.

Let's see how the Swindon players fared as individuals on the night.

GK: Dan Barden – 6.5

Did not really have much to do it has to be said despite the defeat. The two goals cannot really be blamed on Barden, the most critical may argue he was slow to get down at his near post for the first goal but there was not really much he could do about either goal and he was solid when called upon in other parts of the game.

RCB: Tunmise Sobowale - 4

Sobowale struggled to deal with Salford winger N'Mai all night as he caused chaos on the left wing and was arguably responsible for the second goal failing to clear his lines.

CB: Will Wright - 6

He was not directly responsible for either goal and played okay without any standout moments.

LCB: Miguel Freckleton - 4.5

This was a poor performance from a man who seems very out of form at the moment, may benefit from some time out of the side.

LM: Joel McGregor - 6

McGregor also struggled to deal with Salford's left-hand side attack but had moments in the game which were promising but nothing of note to make his score any higher.

CM: Joel Cotterill - 6.5

He struggled to make an impact in the first half but played well in the second sending a lovely ball through to Smith for the Swindon goal.

CM: Gavin Kilkenny - 6

Again not much to report, a largely solid performance but at times looked weak when up against the Salford midfield.

CM: Nnamdi Ofoborh - 4.5

Hooked at halftime, he worked hard but gave up possession too much in midfield areas allowing Salford to get on the attack and apply pressure.

RM: George Cox - 6

Also hooked at halftime, although he did not put in an awful performance but nothing special.

ST: Danny Butterworth - 5

Butterworth did not do anything wrong but ghosted through large parts of the game and starved of any service.

ST: Harry Smith - 7

Smith scored Swindon's only goal with a very good finish and was a constant threat to the Salford defence.

Substitutes:

Rosaire Longelo - 6

Longelo made an impact and played okay but missed a glorious chance for an equaliser blazing a free header over the bar.

Kabongo Tshimanga - 6.5

He played well when he came on but also missed a glorious chance for an equaliser.

Aaron Drinan - N/A

Grant Hall- N/A

Sean McGurk N/A
