Ian Holloway and Sean McGurk are both looking to carry Swindon Town's early momentum forwards after the win over Tottenham Hotspur Under-21s.
Swindon made it two wins and two cup progressions out of two under Ian Holloway as they made it into the Bristol Street Motors Trophy knockout rounds.
Tyrese Hall had given the academy side the lead in the first half but Swindon managed to come on strong after the break as first McGurk set up Danny Butterworth with a one-two which led to the latter scoring before the former Leeds United youngster got one himself to win it.
After the match, Holloway said that whilst it was nice to have started with two cup wins it was important not to forget that the league is where Swindon need to be seeing quick improvement.
The new manager also made an impassioned plea for supporters to come down and get behind the team to help him accomplish that and get them moving up the League Two table.
McGurk also discussed how he had found being given a free role in his two appearances under Holloway with which to express himself and also how he could push on and become a consistent performer.
