Four young players from Swindon Hockey Club have now been selected for the England Pathway Talent Academy.
A talent academy is a club which is part of a national network supporting boys and girls competing in under-15 to under-18 age groups with high potential, preparing them for junior international hockey.
Players receive individual support, coaching for 40-44 weeks a year, and the chance to develop personal and athletic relationships in a healthy squad culture.
They also benefit from individual player support through player profiling, individual development plans and regular coach feedback
Three junior players from Swindon Hockey Club, based at The Deanery Academy in Wichelstowe, have been selected for the Oxford Hawks Talent Academy.
Toby Yendell, an under-17 goalkeeper, has been in the system for some time, while under-14 player Elsie Scrase and under-15 player Mauri Perciavalle have recently been selected.
The trio, who attend local secondary schools and play at senior level, are aiming for future success within the England system.
They will join Nathan Frost from the club, who is now in his third year at the Bath Talent Academy.
Swindon Hockey Club has a growing junior and senior section, welcoming players of all ages and abilities.
