CHRIS McPhee hailed strike partner Lukas Jutkiewicz as magnificent' following the goalless draw with Huddersfield Town at the County Ground.
Seventeen-year-old forward Jutkiewicz was awarded the Young Player of the Year trophy by youth team coach Ian Woan before the game with Peter Jackson's Terriers but McPhee, pictured, has nothing but praise for the way the teenager has adapted to the senior stage.
He has enjoyed playing alongside Jutkiewicz in the last couple of matches, despite the pair drawing a blank in front of goal.
It's hardly a case of little and large' but McPhee feels they compliment each other very well.
The Brighton and Hove Albion forward said: "It gives us options. We've a young, strong squad. Just a little word on Lukas though. He's been magnificent since coming in. He's a young lad, he's performed and been absolutely magnificent."
And much like Michael Pook, McPhee feels youngsters will have an important part to play next season.
He said: "With going down a division it's more difficult to attract established players.
"The fact that you've got a good base of youngsters here that have played in this higher division means that things do look promising for next season."
