NORTH BERKS FOOTBALL LEAGUE: A goal on the hour from Toby Kimber gave Lambourn Sports a 1-0 win over Drayton in the Charity Shield and completed a winning treble of North Berks League Championship, Cup and Shield.
Drayton can reflect on a good season but one in which they have finished as runners-up to Lambourn in all three competitions.
After three successive matches against each other there was little between the sides throughout the game.
Drayton started the first half better with Robbie McNeill and Danny Curran coming close and both sides had valid claims for a penalty.
Lambourn came into the game with Adrian Mooney shooting wide on two occasions.
The only goal came when Drayton keeper Richard Underwood failed to hold a dipping cross and Ben Sutton nipped in to take the ball, crossing low for Kimber to tap in from two yards.
Underwood partially redeemed himself with a sharp save low to his right from Sutton late in the game.
