  • SWINDON Town Ladies have completed a magnificent treble, after seeing off Spitfires 6-0 in the under 12 Wiltshire County League Cup final.

Town continued their unbeaten form, having recently being crowned league champions and play-off winners, conceding only four goals all season in all competitions and scoring 191.

They made a nervous start as Spitfires created the better chances, but the nerves were settled as Abby Picton fired them into a 20th-minute lead.

Picton then hit the crossbar but Spitfires could have levelled with a shot that hit the post before Sophie Barrett struck the second for Town before half-time.

Three minutes into the second period, Picton added her second as Town started to pull clear.

Good work from sub Louise Cullen and Libby Gale allowed Barrett to score her second to make it four.

And she completed her hat-trick soon afterwards.

Gale got her deserved goal in the final minute to round it off.
