DENNIS Wise has made it clear he will waste little time in getting on the phone to the squad he has inherited and former Chelsea colleague Rhys Evans will be only too delighted to hear from him.
Town's player of the year, pictured right, wants to speak to his new manager before he decides whether to stay put or move on although the 24-year-old accepts the decision may not entirely be in his hands anymore.
The player is still waiting to receive a revised contract offer from Town, following a meeting 10 days ago with chief executive Mark Devlin, while League One outfit Blackpool are wondering whether Evans will decide to accept the deal they have tabled. Wise's arrival has added a further dimension to the Swindonian's stick or twist dilemma.
He said: "Until I am able to see this offer from the club (Town) then it's difficult to make a decision.
"You don't know what the new manager's thoughts are at this stage.
"I presume he may have some recollection of me from his time at Chelsea but that doesn't guarantee a thing.
"All I would say is that I'd very much like to have the chance to speak to him.
"When you have a big decision to make like I have, you would be silly in the extreme to make that decision without having as much information as possible.
"Whatever I decide to do, I want to be part of something successful. I'd love to be part of something here."
