TOWN chief executive Mark Devlin has cited demand and customer care as the reasons for a spot of extra time on the season ticket front.
The club have extended the early bird deadline until noon on June 10.
Almost 2,000 fans have now purchased tickets for the 2006/07 campaign.
Devlin is more than encouraged by the response and hopes fans will take advantage of the extension.
He said: "Demand is pretty great and so extending the deadline helps us but then it's also a customer care issue.
"Recent developments, with Dennis Wise and Gus Poyet coming in, have generated interest and our fans have responded positively.
"There's still that sense of excitement."
As well as visiting the Town box office or contacting it by telephone, supporters can also download a form from the official club website and and fax it direct on 01793 333780. Under 7's can continue to go free.
Devlin said: "A lot of hard work lies ahead but hopefully the fans share our sense of optimism."
