BOLTON boss Owen Coyle has urged Danny Ward to “light up Wembley” in the League One play-off final next weekend.
The teenage loanee will start for Swindon against Millwall on Saturday, May 29, when both teams go head to head knowing that the winner will claim a place in the Championship.
Ward has made a big impression since his arrival at the County Ground back in November, firing nine goals including one in each leg of their play-off semi-final with Charlton.
The 18-year-old has made only two substitute appearances for Wanderers but could feature more in the Premier League next year under Coyle, who is looking forward to Ward’s Reebok Stadium return.
And the Bolton manager has told the forward to finish his loan spell on a high and make the most of his date at the national stadium.
“I have contacted Danny and told him to go and light up Wembley in the final,“ explained Coyle.
“I am looking forward to seeing him in pre-season.”
Meanwhile, Wiltshire Police are asking all supporters travelling by private coach or minibus to the play-off final to liaise with them regarding parking around Wembley.
Football liaison officer Jim Neighbour wants to collate a rough idea on numbers travelling to try and avoid any problems on the day.
All details can be found on the Wembley website regarding parking, but Swindon fans are advised to contact Wiltshire Police through their switchboard on 0845 4087000.
