SWINDON Supermarine have announced the appointment of Richard Carter as director of football at the club with immediate effect.
After the decision last night by former manager Mark Collier to resign from his post at Hunts Copse, Carter takes up the reins in the interim, and is charged with finding a new full time manager for the Southern League outfit.
In a statement to the Advertiser, a club spokesman said: "Richard contacted the club after reading about our uncertainty and joins us in helping to develop a strong, sustainable and most of all a successful Southern League premier division football club.
"Richard brings with him great knowledge of non-league football across the country and his extensive contacts at both professional and semi-professional football will undoubtedly help us achieve stability moving forward."
