TOWN have released midfielders Mark Marshall and Kurt Hammonds from the club, but offered top scorer Billy Paynter a "new, improved long-term contract".
In the wake of Saturday's League One play-off final defeat to Millwall, manager Danny Wilson has also offered fresh deals to three other out-of-contract players - Craig Easton, Michael Timlin and young goalkeeper Mark Scott.
The future of winger Lloyd Macklin though is yet to be announced.
Swindon have also confirmed that loanees Alan Sheehan, Frank Nouble, Stephen Darby, Danny Ward and Simon Ferry have all returned to their clubs.
