EX-BRADON Forest pupil Liam Williams has been added to the University of West Hartford’s football side for the 2010 season.
Defender Williams, a former Southampton Academy player, is one of a quartet of Brits to join the Connecticut outfit.
“Liam has fantastic attributes as a player - size, vision, technique, and he is a proven winner and leader,” said coach Dan Gaspar.
“His presence will be felt in our conference right away.”
The tall defender helped Bradon Forest string together five consecutive unbeaten seasons, played for Swindon Town’s Centre of Excellence and was captain of Wiltshire.
He represented England Under 18s in the Centenary Shield, a tournament also featuring Northern Ireland, Wales, Scotland and the Republic of Ireland.
