FC SANFORD manager Les Gill could not fault his side in any way after their 7-1 demolition of SKS Blyskawica in the Wiltshire League Premier Division.
Bradley Gill fired in a hat-trick, while Taylor Gill added two and Scott Scanlon and Terry Moore scored one each to secure the victory, which leaves them joint top of the league alongside Bradford Town, but with a game in hand.
Bradford dropped points as they drew 3-3 with Shrewton, which sets up a big game when the two sides meet next weekend.
“We controlled the game right from the start and always looked dangerous going forward. We frustrated the opposition, remained extremely solid defensively, played football throughout and as a result we felt the three points were never in doubt,” Gill said. “I couldn't ask any more of the players in the squad and the result sets up next weekend’s top of the table clash with AFC Bradford.
“We now need to remain consistent, continue to work hard for each other and maintain that desire and enthusiasm to win games.”
Chippenham Youth beat Wroughton 3-2 to stay in third, while Wilts Calne Town are fourth following a 3-0 away win at Purton.
Devizes Town Reserves beat Marlborough Town 2-1 and Amesbury Town beat Southbrook 4-1.
In Division One, Box Rovers kept up their 100 per cent record with a 3-0 win over Ramsbury which leaves them 14 points clear of Madames FC in second, who beat Wraughton 2-1.
Old Town Wanderers beat Lower Stratton FC 7-1 to stay in third, while Malmesbury Reserves beat FC Sanford Reserves 4-0.
