FARINGDON Town lost ground at the top of North Berks Football League Division One after a 1-1 draw against Wootton & Dry Sandford.
Town have now drawn their last two home games after Gary Sutton’s goal for the hosts was cancelled out by a Chris Potter strike.
The result leaves Faringdon in third, four points behind leaders Crowmarsh Gifford but having played four games more.
Faringdon Town Reserves could not halt Dorchester’s march towards the Division Three title as the leaders claimed a tight 2-1 win. Town reserves scored through Jake Vanags, but goals from Jack Shipway and Jamie Fleet won the match for the leaders.
Jamie Gregory scored two, and Jason Evans, Mike van der Mortel and Jamie Hopgood all scored once as Stanford-in-the-Vale thrashed Shrivenham ‘A’ 5-0.
In Division Four West, Faringdon Town A lost 3-1 to Uffington United thanks to Kieran Watson, Darren Scrivens and Dave Roberts strikes.

Cup kings Berinsfield from Division Two ran out 4-2 winners at Division Three Coleshill United in the quarter final of the War Memorial Cup.
David Murphy with two, Simon Kenny and Luke Saunders all scored for Berinsfield with Mark Simpkins and Richard Evans netting for Coleshill.
