SWINDON'S under 18s moved top of the Youth Alliance League for the first time this season following a 2-0 victory over Oxford United this afternoon.
Just like the senior team had done days earlier, Town's youngsters made the short trip along the A420 looking to pick up three points from their local rivals.
After a goalless first half, the visitors took the lead just after the hour mark when Miles Storey - who has been prolific at youth level this season - headed home the opener from Harry Grant's corner.
Paul Bodin's side then grabbed another midway through the half, with Aaron Oakley heading home following a short corner routine between Grant and Aaaron Ferris.
"The first half was evenly contested with both teams missing half chances," said Bodin.
"We dominated the second period and should have won by a bigger margin."
Town's next game is Hereford away on March 24.
