PAOLO Di Canio has been named the League Two Manager of the Month for February.
The Italian guided Swindon to six wins throughout the month, including a 1-0 victory over Barnet that sealed Town's place in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy final as well as wins over promotion rivals Crawley and Shrewsbury.
Former Charlton Athletic boss Alan Curbishley chairs the npower Manager of the Month judging panel.
He said: "A very impressive five wins from five for Di Canio's men as we enter the real business end of the season.
"Notable victories over promotion rivals Crawley Town and Shrewsbury Town saw Swindon move to the top of npower League 2."
The form of striker Paul Benson was crucial during that period and he has been rewarded for a number of excellent displays with the League Two Player of the Month award.
The 32-year-old scored five goals in six matches to help the Robins climb into first place.
Sky Sports' Football League expert Peter Beagrie sits on the npower Player of the Month judging panel.
He said: "Paul's seamless integration into Paolo Di Canio's Swindon project is one reason why Town fans believe automatic promotion beckons.
"He proved himself as a natural goalscorer last month, popping up with five important strikes."
