PLAYING at Wembley is not yet the talk of the dressing room according to Oliver Risser, who insists the whole Swindon Town squad are focused only on the next immediate game.

The Robins travel north to take on Crewe tomorrow, where a win will edge them closer to cementing automatic promotion from League Two.

But with the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy final on the horizon, the players’ minds could now be starting to drift towards thinking about the prospect of playing at Wembley.

Risser, though, is adamant that is not the case and instead the players are approaching each and every game at this stage of the season as though it is a cup final.

“We have to take every game as it comes,” he said. “First up is Crewe, then Torquay and then we have the game at Wembley.

“Everyone speaks of Wembley but that is in three games time. The next game that comes up is our final and that is the way we will look at the Crewe game.”

Risser is unsure what position he will play tomorrow, with the Namibia international having started in midfield and defence in recent games.

Aden Flint could return, although the Crewe game might be a little early for the defender, meaning Risser is most likely to line up at the back once again.

“I like playing there, I prefer the holding midfield position but I just want to play so if that is at centre-back then so be it,” he added.

“It is always nice to keep a clean sheet but we did not play too well against Cheltenham so we have to step up a gear against Crewe.

“They are a team in form at the moment but we know what we have to do and we have to do it better than we did last week.”

Town have sold around 27,500 tickets for the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy final.
