SWINDON slipped to their second league defeat of the year on Saturday as play-off chasing Crewe secured a 2-0 at Gresty Road.

Town never really got going while the visitors, who went into the game unbeaten in six, looked the hungrier of the two sides from the outset.

And goals from Nick Powell and Ashley Westwood gave Crewe a deserved victory that bolstered their play-off hopes.

“If we behave like we did for the first 70 minutes of Saturday’s game we will not finish in the top three because we will lose games,” bemoaned a disappointed Paolo Di Canio.

“In the last two games we looked like the team we were at the start of the season and I have to discover why.

“I want to change the mentality because otherwise we will get ourselves in trouble, not only this year but for the future.”
