DIVISION Three Faringdon Town Reserves were on the end of a cup shock at the weekend.

They lost 2-1 at home to Division Four East outfit East Hendred Reserves in the quarter-finals of the AG Kingham Cup.

Steve Gilbert scored Faringdon’s consolation, while Gary Cooper and Tyrone McGill netted for Hendred.

Division Three Shrivenham A blew away Division Four West visitors Childrey United Reserves 5-1, as Steve Leighfield hit a hat-trick.

Josh Fowler also scored for the hosts and Jamie Dutton replied for the visitors.

Coleshill United exited the quarter-finals of the North Berks Cup after losing 3-2 to Drayton, who play two divisions above.

Gareth Small (2) and Richard Payne netted for Drayton while Chris Quinton and Shane Blake scored for the lower league side.

In Division One, Faringdon were demolished 5-0 by Didcot Casuals with Paul Powell (3), Jake Chaffey and Dan Cox-Rogers scoring.

Goals from Mark Mooney (2) and Andy Best were in vain as Lambourn Sports Reserves lost 4-3 at Ardington & Lockinge in the North Berks League Division Two.

A Jamie Clarke brace alongside Ollie O’Hanlon and James Bishop efforts were enough to give the hosts the win.

The only match in Division Four West saw Faringdon Town A run out 2-0 winners at home to Stanford-in-the-Vale Reserves. James Kane and Rupert Collett registered.
