FOR me, Swindon go into this game as favourites which is obviously a little unusual seeing as they are from the division below.

They have been very consistent this season and that has seen them beat some sides from the leagues above them, such as Wigan and Huddersfield.

They have been flying in the league as well and looked to have done enough to go back up. Form counts for a lot and I think that is what will see Swindon through.

Chesterfield really have been on a poor run, and being bottom of League One means there can not be much confidence going around the place, but they will always be dangerous because they have some good players, and I think it will be a tight game.

They may be bottom, but John Sheridan always likes to try and play good football so it certainly will not just be a long ball game, it should be an entertaining one settled by the odd goal.

I am disappointed that I will not be able to be at the game because I will be working on Sunday morning, but it should be a great match, and my prediction is that Swindon will come out on top, 2-1 after extra time.

  • A SIGNIFICANT factor for me is that Jack Lester has been struggling for form for quite a long time now.

Chesterfield have relied on his goals for quite a long time now, and for him to be struggling and being in and out of the side is a big thing for them.

They obviously had Leon Clarke on loan from Swindon earlier in the season and he seemed to find his home there and scored a lot of goals for them, but he has since left and moved around a bit and not scored much.

But Lester will always be a threat, and he showed in the Southern Area final of this competition that he can snatch a goal out of nothing, and Swindon will have to be wary of him.

  • THE first thing you look at when you examine how Swindon have done recently is the goals of Paul Benson.

He has always scored goals but I think you have to say he has exceeded expectations and done a lot better than anybody would have thought. I remember him scoring the winner against Wigan in the FA Cup, and he has important goals in him like that.

I have also been impressed with Matt Ritchie when I have seen him, and Luke Rooney has been good since he came to the club.

They have a number of very consistent players and I think that is what has been the key to their success.

  • WEMBLEY is a great stage for any player to play on, and the players on both sides should savour it as you never know when your chance will come again.

The stadium is fantastic and is one of the best around, and obviously a lot of big games are played there.

For players in League Two the chance to play at the national stadium is very rare, so they need to take it with both hands.

It will also obviously be a great day out for the supporters, and I hope everyone has a brilliant day.

  • PAOLO has been absolutely fantastic for Swindon, and for League Two football in general.

When he was appointed I think it is fair to say opinion was split on him, and people wondered whether it would work out but I think he has answered that question.

Clearly he is one of the most talented players to have played in the Premier League and entertained people for years, but people wondered whether him dropping to League Two level would be a success. It certainly he has, and people now think appointing Paolo was a great decision.

He has produced a very consistent team and I imagine all of the players really love playing for him, and give their all for him, because he is that sort of character.

He is there for his players and offers his help whenever it is needed, but he will not settle for second best and that helps drive you on. He wants his players to reach their full potential, and if he can get them to do that then they should be successful in years to come.

The fans clearly love him too, and that is very important because it has got everyone excited about Swindon Town again, just like it should be.
