Shrivenham A reached their second cup final of the season by hammering East Hendred Reserves 6-2 in the AG Kingham Cup.
The semi-final clash was played at Sutton Courtenay and it was Shrivenham that opened the scoring on six minutes, when Ben Baker’s cross was headed home by Mark Loveridge.
Shortly after the lead became 2-0 when James Tranter was fouled on the edge of the box and Steve Leighfield curled in the free kick.
Simon Burgoyne headed Hendred back into it after 18 minutes, but just before half time Shrivenham made it 3-1 as Steve Leighfield ran clear to score his second.
Burgoyne headed home a carbon copy of Hendred’s first but that was where their challenge ended. In the opening minute of the second half, Shrivenham sub Josh Fowler fired home from the edge of the area.
Fowler later curled in a long-range shot and with Hendred pushing to get back in the game, Loveridge ran clear to complete his double and set up a final against Wantage Town A.
In Division One, Dan Courtney (2), Derren Harrington and Matt Pill struck as Faringdon Town won 4-2 at bottom side Harwell Village. Tom Ingram and Gareth Fenton scored for the hosts.
Lambourn Sports Reserves were defeated 2-1 at home to Sutton Courtenay with Steve Rackham bagging Lambourn’s consolation. Steve Pitson and Sam Charles won the match for Sutton.
