PAOLO Di Canio hailed the impact of Ronan Murray and Oliver Risser after the pair scored the goals to seal a crucial 2-0 win at Barnet tonight.
Murray and Risser have both been in and out of the side this season but were named in the first 11 for the game against the Bees at Underhill.
Murray opened the scoring in the 14th minute when he raced through one-on-one with Dean Brill before poking home.
And Risser wrapped up the points when he struck from Jay McEveley's free kick.
"It is another very big win for us and the players really took their chance tonight," said Di Canio.
"We deserved the win and the players really did well. They were fantastic.
"Murray's goal was one of fantastic quality and he is a talented player. He works hard and I am happy for him and of course for the rest of the players.
Risser is a strong character and he has scored some important goals for us.
"The timing of the second goal tonight gave us a good platform."
Di Canio was robbed of the services of key players Matt Ritchie and Lee Holmes through injury, but proved once again that he has the strength in depth to do what is needed to get results.
"We had to work hard for the win but we handled the game well," he added.
"We had many players out with injury but the players who played tonight really did well."
