HIGHWORTH battled back from two goals down to salvage a 2-2 draw with visitors Ascot in the Hellenic Premier tonight.
Dave Webb’s troops were 2-0 down at the interval after conceding a cheap goal and then going further behind to a penalty. However, after the resumption it was a different story as the Worthians dragged themselves back into the game.
It was Josh Parsons that secured a point for the hosts, first firing home from the penalty spot and then converting a free kick to ensure honours ended even.
The fixture was the latest in a frenetic period for the Elms side, whose involvement in both the Wiltshire Senior Cup and the Hellenic League Challenge Cup meant they have played five games in 16 days.
