BOTH Gillingham and Swindon are working to resolve the issues which have threatened to see Town’s visit to Priestfield on April 21 played behind closed doors.
Gillingham are currently involved in a dispute over the cost and number of police officers needed at Priestfield Stadium for the match.
The council slapped the club with a prohibition notice on the game preventing supporters from attending.
Town chief executive Nick Watkins has been communicating with Gillingham this afternoon in the hope of resolving the issue as soon as possible.
Gillingham are not commenting on the situation, but expect to make a statement this afternoon.
