LAMBOURN Sports Reserves closed the gap at the top of the North Berks Football League Division Two to three points with a 2-1 home win over fellow promotion challengers Ardington and Lockinge.
Keenan Dundas struck twice for Lambourn with Jonny Eudell replying for Ardington. Lambourn remain in second place despite the victory, and are three points behind the leaders Berinsfield but having played three games more than their rivals.
In Division Three, Tim Lynn, Charlie Allsop, Tim Hearn and Andy Sturdivant were all on the scoresheet for Kintbury Rangers Reserves in their 4-1 home win over Faringdon Town Reserves for whom Phil Thompson scored a consolation goal. The defeat leaves Town in midtable as the season draws to a close.
