CAPTAIN Paul Caddis paid tribute to the club’s fans after Swindon secured promotion to League One this afternoon.
Town lost 3-1 at Gillingham, but a defeat for Torquay and a draw for Crawley meant Paolo Di Canio’s side made sure of promotion with two games remaining.
A win over Port Vale next weekend will secure the title, and a jubilant Caddis admitted that is nothing more than the club’s fans deserve.
“They have been amazing for us this season, and we are proud to have been able to do this for them,” he said.
“They follow us everywhere, even things are tough at the moment, and the players really appreciate that.
“They are so loud and it really makes a difference, and our aim now is to secure the title next weekend so we can celebrate with everyone at the County Ground.”
