Highworth boss Dave Webb masterminded a final-day trouncing of Binfield and then warned his team of a backlash in the Challenge Cup final.
The Elms side cruised to a 5-0 win over their visiting opponents with Matty Bennett, Ritchie Saunders, and Craig Curtis giving them a 3-0 lead at the break.
Rory Sproule grabbed the fourth goal six minutes after the interval and Dan Hilder rounded off victory late on.
Binfield face Headington in the Challenge Cup semis tonight as both teams fight for the right to meet Highworth in the final at Newbury on May 7.
And Webb said: “I’m not sure who we’re going to get in the final now, I’m expecting it to be Binfield, although it will be tough for them against Headington.
“Hopefully we can take our recent good form against them into the final if they get there.
“To beat them twice in the league and score seven goals in the process, they will want to prove a point.”
Webb added that he was delighted with the display of his players in the final league game of the season.
“It was a great performance against a strong side,” he said.
“In fairness to them they have had a lot of football in the last two weeks, the same as we have, so they looked a bit jaded.
“I just think it was important for our lads to finish on a high, we’ve got three wins and three clean sheets.
“We scored five goals and played some really good stuff.
“We were really keen to get the win yesterday because I think the momentum is important.”
Fairford’s 4-3 defeat at home to Wantage was overshadowed by a back injury to an opposition player.
The match was halted by over an hour in the first half after a seemingly harmless challenge by Toby Clapton.
“One of our defenders just clipped him and he twisted as he fell,” explained chairman Mike Tanner.
“There was no malice in the challenge and none of their players got excited, he just fell awkwardly.”
The player is understood to have spent the night in Great Western Hospital but is believed to be on the way back to full health.
Fairford were 2-0 up against the Alfredians courtesy of efforts from Nathan Gambling and Jack Williams, but after Clapton was harshly dismissed, Wantage replied before the break.
Two minutes into the second half it was 3-2 to the visitors and although Williams got another, a fourth goal for the visitors gave them victory.
“Now we’ll wait and see what happens with promotions and relegations throughout the Hellenic League,” added Tanner.
“From a manager’s point of view it’s difficult for him to tell players what league they will be playing in next season.”
Shrivenham did not play on Saturday having finished their season with a 2-1 loss at home to Shortwood on Thursday.
There were plenty of goals from our local sides in Division One West, with New College leading the way with a 3-0 victory over Malmesbury.
Aaron Webb was among the scorers as Cricklade drew 3-3 at Easington, while Richie Crocker hit the net in Purton’s 5-2 loss at Brimscombe.
Cirencester Dev were defeated 3-1 at Tytherington.
