KEEPER Wes Foderingham will remember the day Swindon won the League Two title for the rest of his life.
The keeper once again did not put a foot wrong during the 5-0 victory over Port Vale which clinched the title, and came out well to halt Marc Richards following an error from Aden Flint, before keeping yet another clean sheet at the County Ground intact with a superb double save at the death.
The shut-out ensured Foderingham finished the campaign having only conceded one goal at home in the league, during a season which will live with him forever.
“Not only did we win but we did it in style, and words can’t describe how I felt when the final whistle went.
“This is the best moment of my career and something I will remember for the rest of my life.
“Most of the time this year I have not had too much to do because the defence has been so amazing, but to make those saves at the end was amazing because it kept another clean sheet.
“To concede only one league goal at home all season is a great thing which I am very proud of, we have done really well as a team to do that and keep so many clean sheets.
“Of course I take some credit for it but the defence has been amazing too.”
