DEFENDER Aden Flint was proud to get his name on the scoresheet on the day Town clinched the League Two title.
The centre back stretched to guide home a Matt Ritchie corner for Town’s fourth goal in the 5-0 victory over Port Vale, which capped off an impressive season for Paolo Di Canio’s side.
“To be the champions is what we wanted all season, so do it at home with a performance like that was exceptional,” Flint said.
“I don’t score many so it is always nice to get a goal, in a game where we won the league.
“We had a poor start but kicked on from there and climbed the table. We lost the last two games but bounced back in the best possible way with a 5-0 victory.
“It was fantastic for the fans and their support left me speechless.”
